Put More Wood Into The Fire! Reach Your Goal Faster.

The What?
The surefire way to reach your goal faster, to get there before time is to 'gather speed', increase your pace or put in more effort. I guess i am stating the obvious, but that is just the first step, knowing what to do should always come before knowing how to do, because you and i do know that achieving your goal in life require more than just one step, but it is ok that we know one step and the first step for that matter, we are progressing, remember, the journey of a thousand mile starts with the first step.

The How?
So how do i increase my pace and speed up to get to my goal early enough? Sure we need ENERGY,enough energy at that, can you imagine the amount of energy the sprinters put to use for a 100 meter dash, you can actually see at work those thigh muscles and the muscles of the arms and the chest. You can be sure that the person that win a race has expended more energy than those behind him/her. The amount of energy you will require will surely depend on how far you are going and how fast you intend to get there, can you remember your last trip in a car, how long it lasted, you can imagine the amount of energy expended for that period in time by you, for though it was the fuel that powered the car, somebody 'powered' the fuel, so you are the one that actually put in the effort. If you did not buy the car and paid for the fuel, at least you paid a fare or somebody did on your behalf. Another example that readily come to my mind now is Jesus' parable of the ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom, five of them were foolish and the other five were wise, of the wise, we understand they were prepared to get to their as fast as possible, so they put in more effort than the other five, they had more expendable, enough energy to get them to their goal before time. In Africa, some still use fuel wood or to use the local parlance, we use 'fire wood' to cook our meals, and there is the mud oven used by bakers which are also powered by fuel wood, and in other parts of the world, they have the fire place to heat up their homes in winter. Here the goal is to generate more heat in order to cook our meals faster, to bake our bread and to heat our homes efficiently and to sustain the heat for as long as it is required , and what does it take to have that, good old energy, so we got some responsibility here, a personal sacrificial effort, the work we have to do for that purpose we want to achieve, to cook our meals and to heat up our homes, 'put more wood into the fire!

The How much?
How much effort do you need to get there fast enough? well, i am not too good in the maths, but i  do know like i know that i am dark complexioned that the bigger your goal, the more righteous , the more beneficial to you and to humanity, then the more energy or effort it will take to achieve , but we want to know! shouted Mr. Meticulous , well, let me give you a clue, as much as you can, get as much energy as you can even when you are sure it is just a 5 minutes trip. Put in as much effort as you can, remember the story of the ten virgins, it is better to get to your goal with excess energy left for you than to fall short of energy on the way, you may still have another chance but it is always more difficult and more costly in every way to start afresh, you ask any dropout. You don't have to faint in the days of adversity.
Another reason why you should put in as much effort as you possibly can is that reaching your goal in life is more than taking a trip to a place familiar in path and distance, i mean you can virtually close your eyes and still get around in your house, it is not so with life goals. Moreover, in attaining life goals, you will definitely meet with challenges or obstacles or still, tests, now the test that the ten virgins had to face on their quest for prompt success is the test of delay. Ladies and gentlemen, you better brace yourself for that test too on your way to reaching your goal, together with her cousins, discouragement, distractions, physical weakness and make beliefs [Fakes]

There are more ways than one to the market.
That is a popular Yoruba adage, it is applicable to our point in discus and to most life experience, but not when your goal is to see God, Jesus said He is the only way, and i believe Him, but to start and run your business, get education or build structures, sure there are more ways than one. Ok i will simplify, more ways? What or where are the ways to reach my goals please? Mr. Confused pleaded, but to him i said, it only require your personal effort, personal effort which ability is inborn, ability that is not exclusive to any race, class or location. I know that just seeing the phrase 'personal effort' is enough to discourage the lazy bones, it is too much work for them to put effort of any kind, i know this because i have been there before, they believe they don't have what it takes, when they compare there visions with their bank account or with their level of education, colour, background etc. and they become intimidated. Follow me please, do you know that more ways is a direct product of more ideas and more ideas a direct product of more objective thoughts! Thoughts and more thoughts on your goals and its attainment, this is the bone of the gist, because getting more ways/more energy to reach your goal faster requires more ideas and getting more ideas requires more constructive thoughts/efforts.
So i can safely say that the work required of you, the effort you have to put in, that expendable energy to attaining your goal faster is actually your THOUGHTS!
Now let us spare some thought on the energy of thought. Just one impulse of thought can covert affliction into asset, and i quote Napoleon Hill in his book Think and Grow Rich "Truly Thoughts are Things and powerful things at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose , persistence, and a burning desire for their translation into riches or other material objects" and in chapter thirteen, The Brain, he said,'The greatest forces are intangible' and further, 'man with all of his boasted culture and education understands little or nothing of the intangible force[the greatest of all intangibles] of thought' and the Holy Bible rightly explained that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible{Heb.11.3} So THOUGHTS are THINGS!
Now, do you have energy left in you to get you to your goal? I bet you have because everybody can think, though some think destructively, worrying, that is destructive thinking. Your thinking has to be positive, it has to be constructive because your vision or your goal has to pass through the process of construction.
More thoughts/Effort = More ideas = more ways/Energy!
Now, you can develop the habit of constructive thinking, that is the good part, the ball is always in your court, so don't wait for no man to get the ball or play the ball for you, because they will always play to their own advantage even when they have to obey the fair play rule. The ball is always in your court, there is something you can do, something you have to personally do to advance you cause. You can develop constructive thinking habit by relating with constructive thoughts of other people, by reading constructive books, having constructive mentor, at least start with the books please.

The God Factor.
The one effort, the one thought, the one idea, the one way, the one energy that can not be in excess in your quest to reaching your goal is that of seeking God, seeking God in petition, in appreciation etc. Most people who succeed in the real sense of it got in contact with God intentionally or not, how do i know that, we read books and articles written by them and there are principles and steps they give which fall in line with the word of God. Come to think of it, you will agree with me that there are times when you are running on low, when you are morally down, may be because of the pressure disappointment brings, joined with the weight of your vision, though these are mare tests, they can be so weighty sometimes and the only thoughts that are coming your way is to end it all, to quit and to quit now, those times, you can not think straight or constructively. Man it is time to do what King David did in a similar situation and encourage yourself in the Lord and His words and He will turn your thoughts aright.
Remember, the ball is always in your court and that Thoughts are Things. So put more wood into the fire, do more constructive thinking!
